Lines.
Do we draw lines to give ourselves a path to follow, or to give ourselves a lane to cross? I think life is way too messy for definitive rules on ways to live and love. It’s okay that things don’t fit where you thought they might. It’s okay if you color outside of the lines. It’s okay to be wrong and it’s okay to break your own rules. It’s actually kind of exciting. You can waste your time drawing lines to define your life and who you think you are, but drawing lines won’t help you tidy anything up. They add to the clutter. Boundaries don’t keep others out, they keep you in. I’ve drawn a lot of lines before. Now I’m having a really nice time crossing them.
