Blogz.

I love it when my friends blog. I think tumblr is my favorite website right now. I always find myself scrolling through my dashboard hoping to see a familiar face. I don’t really follow much of anyone, and there are only like three people’s blogs that I actually care about, but tumblr always captivates me.

Danni always blogs about her life and what’s been going on with her. She does this 30 day thing and it’s always really fun to read. I’m almost always smiling when I read a Danni blog! She doesn’t have much of a filter, and it’s really sick. She’s honest and just blogs about life. I like that. No bullshit. And she’s totally like that outside of the viral world as well. I don’t think my blogging is representative of who I am when I’m not behind a computer, but maybe I’m wrong. I wish I could be more like Danni. She knows what’s up.

Maddie doesn’t blog that often, but when she does, I get really excited! I wish she would write something everyday, because she’s rather insightful and encouraging. Maddie’s blogs, much like her songs, are always super relatable. When I’m upset, I wish I could just be like, Maddie! Write a blog! Because they always make me feel better. But see, it’s perfectly subtle, because Maddie doesn’t write all this stuff about how life is always dandy and wonderful; She’s real. I can feel the things she writes. Like, actually feel them. And to exude that kind of emotion through a computer screen is especially rare. So yeah Maddie, write more, because you’re great at it.

Taylor, like Maddie, seldom blogs. She’ll post a block of text or a quote here and there, and reblog these cute pictures that make me smile or make me think. When she does write, however, she’s perfectly verbose, never saying too much and never leaving the desired unsaid. I wish I could write more like Taylor writes. I always write too much, and I get distracted easily, so it’s a rather unfortunate combination. Taylor wrote something in her last blog (“Life’s hard, and I don’t think we were built to deal with it”) that made me think for a really long time. I mean, come on. How many times have you thought about life’s impossibilities and your human ability to soldier through them? No one makes it out alive, but still.. It’s kind of a paradox, because the more complex of a person you are, the more complex your problems are. But if you are made more complex, you are made to manage more complex problems. Well, you would think.. But logic doesn’t really work too well sometimes, especially if you’re battling with life. Life isn’t always fair, life isn’t always logical, and life is almost never easy. See, look. I got distracted haha. Okay. Long story short, I love when you blog Taylor, and I wish you would do it more often.

…….

Blogs are great. I don’t entirely get their function, or why people are drawn to them. I think people innately love to create. It’s like, what’s the point of poetry, painting, or music for that matter? ..Obviously a rhetorical question. There’s something about creation that man is drawn to. Maybe it’s a stretch to compare blogging to art, but there’s something beautiful about that which is thought-provoking. Blogs are the most perfect hiding place.
